Make an offer

The short version

This is a brand-new AEV Prospector XL cab chassis that has never been put to work. The odometer reads under 40 miles, the seats still have that new-truck smell, and there is a screen protector on the 12-inch display. Nobody has farted in it yet.

Ordering one today means a factory order, a build slot at AEV in Michigan, and months of waiting. This one took about six months from order to finished truck. It is done, and it can be ready for handover within a week of a signed deal, ready for whatever you bolt on the back: a flatbed, a service body, or an expedition camper.

Skip the wait

Good to know

Rear axle limit: 7,940 lb

With single rear wheels, the rear axle tops out at 7,940 lb: two tires at 3,970 lb each, inflated to 80 psi cold. The 9,850 lb rear rating on the door label carries over from the factory dual-rear-wheel setup and is not the working limit on singles. Camper builders: size your build and its loaded weight to the 7,940 lb rear limit.

Availability

Ready for handover within about a week of a signed agreement. Tell us your timing in your offer.

Ready for your build

It is a cab chassis: open frame rails behind the cab, ready for a flatbed, service body, or camper of your choice.

Grille piece

The photos show the chrome upper grille piece. The blacked-out replacement comes with the truck; it just has not been swapped on yet.

Paperwork

Ram factory order, AEV sales order with the full parts list, and warranty booklets. VIN shared with serious buyers.

Speedometer

When AEV converted it, Ram's 2025 cab chassis software was not yet accepting AEV's tire-size recalibration, pending a Ram update. AEV or a Ram dealer can confirm current status and flash it.

Questions buyers ask

Why is it for sale with under 40 miles?

We decided not to build on it. Plans changed, and a truck like this should not sit.

Has it been driven?

Only moved around. It was delivered by transport, and the dash read 36 miles in January 2026. It has never been used for work, towing, or trips.

What is the asking price?

$124,900, or best offer. Send your number through the form below and you will hear back quickly.

When can I pick it up?

Within about a week of a signed agreement, so build that week into your transport plans.

How much can it carry on the rear axle?

7,940 lb. The single rear tires are rated 3,970 lb each at 80 psi cold, and that is the real limit with this conversion, not the 9,850 lb dual-rear-wheel rating on the door label. If you are planning a camper, size it to that number.

Does the warranty transfer?

Yes. The Ram factory coverage stays with the truck, and AEV states its vehicle warranty is transferable.

Is the spare included?

Yes. A matching full-size 40-inch BFGoodrich on an AEV Salta XD wheel.

Can I get the VIN for a history report?

Yes. Ask through the form and the VIN, factory order, and AEV paperwork come with the reply.
